Twin Hopper Loss-in-Weigh Feeding System
A world leader in the cement industry had a project to develop the production of a new type of cement at their production centre located in Madagascar.
In order to do this, they had to replace the old cement and fly ash dosing equipment whose dosing accuracy (±2%) was insufficient for the new project. The two dosing lines (cement and ash) were made up of:
- A buffer hopper
- A knife gate valve
- A helmet dosing valve
- An impact flow meter
- A fluidisation booster

The Rotolok Group Test Plant is located at our readily accessible Surrey facility and includes models from our extensive portfolio of equipment and systems which are supplied, manufactured and installed by Rotolok, Solitec and Blo-Tech. The setup allows for a flexible approach to satisfy a wide range of bulk powder handling applications and to develop and trial new innovations.
