Rotolok started by getting their core product, the Rotary Valve, certified and approved for use in ATEX hazardous environments in 2005 and steadily expanded the available range of suitable products for DSEAR Zones 0, 20, 1, 21, 2 & 22.

In an auspicious groundbreaking ceremony held here on Wednesday, Rotolok Valves Private Limited (RVPL), which is the subsidiary company of Rotolok (Holdings) Ltd., UK, commenced the construction work of its new plant.
Plymouth’s new £4 million 171-berth King Point Marina is open to the public after being officially launched in September.
As the single largest shareholder in Sutton Harbour Holdings Plc. – Rotolok’ s Group Chairman Dan McCauley and Group Development Executive Aidan McCauley were invited to cut the ribbon to help officially launch the event and declare the marina as open.
Explosion Barrier and Isolation
Rotolok offer an extensive range of Rotary Valves certified as suitable for use as an explosion barrier to a maximum of 10bar and for explosion isolation for St1 and St2 dusts. Twelve different sizes between 125 and 600mm with Square flange connections, all in Cast Iron or Stainless Steel. Baseefa certificate 11ATEX0127X accredits the range as Ex II D.
This year, 2013, Rotolok is celebrating its 40 year birthday!
Originally founded by current Group Chairman Dan McCauley from the garage of his Sussex bungalow in the United Kingdom in 1973, Rotolok designed and subcontracted work from an office facility in Southeastern England.
To cope with the ever-expanding business, Mr McCauley shrewdly moved operations to Devon – where the current Rotolok Head Office is located – and built his first factory and offices.
A huge congratulations is in order after three members of the Rotolok workshop team recently clocked a combined total of 100 years’ service to the company.
Rotolok (Holdings) Limited were, in 2013, recognised for their innovative achievements by reaching the regional area final for the HSBC Global Connections competition – an initiative by the British multinational banking and financial services company to find the UK’s most innovative and forward thinking companies.
The 2011 ‘Fast Growth 75’ list, researched and produced by KPMG, identifying the West of England’s fastest growing businesses has just been announced with Rotolok earning a place amongst the elite.
